Will the Evil Game of Accusations Against MQM Ever Stop??

Finally, the allegation of murder of Wali Khan Babar on MQM`s workers has proved to be baseless.

According to the details, the Sindh High Court, Larkana bench, quashed the capital punishment given in 2014 to the accused. Geonews reporter, Wali Khan Babar was killed in January 2011 in Liaquatabad, Karachi.

It took about ten (10) years for the facts to come to light. During such a long period, the accused activists and their party MQM not only faced the political victimization in the name of “bringing perpetrators to justice”, but also kept on being politically maligned. Political rivals and hostile media men played very active role in this filthy game.

Question is, can the precious life time, which the accused and their families lost, be returned to them now? Can the hardships they had to face due to the untrue accusations, be compensated anyhow? If not, then who should be held accountable for their miseries?

Furthermore, according to the DAWN News, another accused, named Liaquat, had already been killed by the police in an alleged “encounter” in 2012 (https://www.dawn.com/news/1351947).

Legally speaking, an accused is assumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty in the court of law. It implies that not speaking of shooting to death, no accused can be even ill-treated merely over a charge unless the court decides his fate on the basis of concrete and reliable evidences.

Now, as the Sindh High Court has set a side their punishments due to the obvious flaws in the charges against the accused, can the murder of Laiquat be justified by law? When obviously no, should the concerned authorities not be persecuted for the murder?

It should also be kept in mind that the accused workers were claimed to have been arrested from Azizabad during a raid conducted at MQM`s head office "90" (i.e., Altaf Hussain`s house) in March 2015. If not incorrect, this was the same raid during which an MQM activist Waqas Shah was shot dead while protesting against the raid by the Rangers. Very unfortunately, instead of providing justice to MQM, another worker named Asif Ali was booked in the murder of the slain Waqas Shah. The family members of the deceased Waqas too objected to the way Asif Ali was nominated in the murder.

Question is, will this vicious series of false accusations ever stop? For how long will MQM and Muhajirs keep becoming the victims of resulted victimization? Is there no one in Pakistan who can raise voice over the systematic criminalization and subsequent genocide? If no, then whom the hell should the victims seek justice from?
