Humey Manzil Nahi Rehnuma Chahiye!

The MQM’s rivals including so-called “intellectuals” always criticize the slogan that MQM worker zealously chant, “Humey Manzil Nahi Rehnuma Chahiye” They call it very illogical. In fact, make fun of it. They say,

“Followers choose a leader so that he can lead them to their destination. But, when no destination, what is the importance of a leader?”

There are many people who are considered and called leaders. But, a true leader has got his own importance for his followers. In our country, regarding the personality of Quaid-e-Tehreek Mr. Altaf Hussain, can anyone give an example of a leader who has so much attraction in his personality that has the ability to gather thousands, rather, millions of people just to listen to his a telephonic call? Since 1984 to till date, especially during the periods of operations, the way Mr. Altaf Hussain led his people and the party, clearly highlighted his importance before the world. This is the reason why his followers claim, “Humey Manzil Nahi, Rehnuma Chahiye”.

Anyway, if anyone wants to understand the importance of a leader in comparison to the destination, he/she needs to take the example of the Pakistani nation. The Muslims of the undivided India got together and formed All India Muslim League in order to get their rights. Later on, a separate piece of land ____Pakistan became their final destination. The leadership of AIML (All India Muslim League) and their followers struggled for it and gave unforgettable sacrifices. Eventually, the leadership of the Muslims of India successfully made its followers get their destination, i.e., Pakistan.
In concise words, that was it! That was the destination due to which the followers followed their leader. In return, the leadership did accomplish its task. The People or followers had arrived at their destination (i.e., they had got Pakistan). Now, what else was remaining on the part of the leadership of the Muslims of the undivided India? Obviously, nothing! Then, immediately after the creation of Pakistan, the Pakistani nation lost their leadership, as perhaps, due to the reason that the leadership had successfully accomplished its given task for its followers.
But, what happened then? Ever since the leaders went away, the down fall of their followers (the Pakistani nation) started. They began getting un-united. They developed enmity, prejudice and intolerance against each other. As a result of all these, they started losing their destination. They lost half part (in fact, the bigger part) of it. While the remaining part became full of so many problems that the people, after finding no solutions to them, come out on the roads for protests. There is so much disappointment in the people that they are committing suicides. None of them looks to be optimistic about the future of their destined place. As a result, they are once again badly in need of a sincere and honest leadership to help them out. They are begging to God and are eagerly waiting for the day when the sincere and the honest leadership would come to take them out of the crisis and would lead them to the prosperity.__________This is the merciful state of the followers and their destination after their leadership had departed.

Now considering the current scenario, if the followers (the Muslims of the undivided India) had been aware of the upcoming disasters in advance before 1947 and at that time, if the two options had been given to them by the British and the Hindus i.e. whether they opt their destination (Pakistan) or the leadership (The Quaid-e-Azam and his colleagues), what would have been their reply then? Foreseeing the unclear future of their destination without their sincere leadership, will they have not immediately stood up and started shouting “We want the leadership, not the destination (Hamko Manzil Nahi, Rehnuma Chahiye)?
This example clearly proves that if the followers lose their sincere leader, it becomes very difficult even to maintain their status. On the other hand, if they have their leader with them, they can not only get their destined place, but also can expand it. To tell the truth, if the Quaid-e-Azam had lived longer, not speaking of losing half part of Pakistan, instead, we could have turned the country into one of the most developed united stated like EU, USA or UAE. Many other Muslim countries might have joined our hands as a state of a united Pakistan. Unfortunately, we could not do that, nor are we presently in a position to even dram of it.
Taking into account all these facts, when the people of Pakistan, despite arriving at their destination, are so much in need of a since and honest leadership, then how can the MQM`s followers think of leaving the Quaid-e-Tehreek when they are just on the way, not at the destination? Learning a very important lesson from worsening state of Pakistan after losing the father of the nation, can any of the Altaf Hussain’s followers even think of losing his/her leader? No, not at all! This is a noncompensateble loss for a nation, and that is reason why the anti-MQM elements are pressurizing its followers to incur. Now, it is up to the MQM followers whether they are ready to afford such a great loss or they decide to keep standing like an iron wall against all these conspiracies under their unmatched leadership of Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain. Let’s see!
